Since i was little and can remember, i've always been interested in fashion. I'm that girl who has been cutting clothing up and sewing it back together. I had just about every outfit for my barbie that was out lol. But I stopped believing I could be a fashion designer after I had my son whom I love to death. I got a job blah blah. But recently I've been thinking about getting back into fashion when I came across your article after it was shared by a friend on facebook. Maybe this is a sign that I need to pursue my dream. Thanks and awesome article!

When you say that you need a spec sheet. What does that mean? I am totally new to this? <br><br> ===================================================================== <br> (Reply) Hi Rock, <br><br> A spec sheet is a document that you give to your manufacturer in order for them to make your clothing. The information on it gives them directions on how you want your clothing produced. It will have your garment measurements, the sketch of your design - front and back, technical sketch of your design which is basically how you want them to measure it exactly (point to point etc. We have an article on our site called the fashion design process. Here is a link to it - it will give you greater detail on this: http://www.startingaclothingline.com/html/fashion_design_software_articl.html

Believe it or not, I've been coming to your site periodically for over 8 years and doing my research on starting a clothing line. I can't honestly say what I have been waiting on to get started with my own line. But now I think I'm ready. I will be getting some of the things you guys offer to help me. Thanks again for looking out for aspiring designers such as myself. Keep up the wonderful job. :)
